Hello Ramblers
30th August 2009
Good Evening RambleFORCE,
Just thought I´d drop you all a line while the missus watches Wuthering Heights on the tellybox. We´re all looking forward to recording the next show on Wednesday, JamesorJim is back from his jaunt north of the border, so we´ll be a foursome again. For a week. You see, I am off to bonny Scotland on Friday for a well earned week off, and as a result will miss a Ramble. The first one I´ve missed in two and a half years! I´m sure the football world will struggle on in my absence, however.
Just seen the result of the Milan derby, and couldn´t believe the score. Milan 0-4 Inter! Must be the heaviest derby defeat that Milan have suffered for a very long time. Meanwhile, the first El Classico of the season is on the 28th November, I´ve already got that one in my diary. I´m also in fear for Pompey´s season (as I´ve previously said on the show), that´s 4 defeats from 4 now, and we really need to sort our act out. That club is honestly a joke behind the scenes, I´ve not come across one more badly run, to be frank. Fingers crossed the off the field can stuff can be sorted out ASAP (unless you´re a Southampton fan, in which case you´re probably enjoying it).
In other news, I´ve been to a wedding this weekend and am back up in London tomorrow (Monday), ready to record the next Ramble, which´ll be out shortly after the record, late Wednesday night. I should probably apologise for last week´s slightly late release, there were a few technical problems which delayed things.
Any thoughts, comments, feedback, banter, fashion tips, music recommendations, film reviews, haircut suggestions for Pete and the like are all welcomed either on the comments section down there or on podcast@thefootballramble.com
Oh, and if anyone´s managed to get a RambleFORCE banner into a game yet, send pics in!
Right, must dash.

Lukey, would you concede that over the last 10 years, Newcastle United have been run worse than Portsmouth? And any other club for that matter.

Is it true that Pompey are planning to build their new stadium in the English Channel?
Maybe its in the hope of defecting to Ligue 1 where they have more chance of winning a game / scoring a goal.
P.S. Whats the dent in the pitch @ Fratton Park all about? Did that bell ringing monkey fall over or something?
Cheers
